A powerhouse for Wiseacre, Tiny Bomb accounts for nearly half the brewery’s production. Yet it also succeeds at the judging table: Even with its lower gravity—and a nicht so Reinheitsgebot drop of honey to lighten the body—Tiny Bomb won silver at the Great American Beer Festival in the German-Style Pilsner category. (The brewery’s new Sky Dog Amber also won gold for International Amber Lager.)

Wiseacre cofounder and brewmaster Davin Bartosch says the honey “is just another way to dry the beer out and make it more drinkable—you know, make it to where you have a sip, and you have another one almost immediately.”
